In today’s busy world, this ancient practice helps reduce stress, relax, and renew us for optimal health. Choose a class that suits your time and needs and begin your journey to a healthier you!
About Classes
Classes generally include centering the mind, stretching the body to warm it up, strengthening poses, cool down poses, and deep relaxation. Deep relaxation may include meditative and deep relaxation practices such as Chakra and Loving Kindness meditations to soothe the soul.
Beginner classes will introduce students to individual poses focusing on alignment of the body and breathing techniques with a goal of linking our movement to our breath. Movements will be gentle and nourishing as we learn to hold postures while paying attention to our breathing and keeping our mind in the present.
Level II classes will continue with variations of poses already learned, as well as new poses. Classes will include slow-flow vinyasa: linking breath to movement in slow-flowing sequences.
Other classes such as Restorative Practice, Relaxation and Meditation, Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), and workshops are offered as well.
